Carnarvon Softball is hosting two pitching clinic sessions indoors at Uplands School from Nov 3 to Dec 8th, 2017. This six-week clinic is open to all softball players (born in 2008 and older) who played spring or fall seasons this past year and have played a season or more as a pitcher as the focus for these clinics will be on intermediate and advanced techniques. Carnarvon will be hosting a beginner session in the New Year for those players who have recently started pitching or are new to the game. Space is limited to 10 pitchers for each hour-long session.
Can-Pitch Coach Brittany Lucas will instruct the clinics, she is a college student and fastball pitcher who has been pitching and playing fastball at every level including three years of “A- level ball.” At the age of 14, she was an integral member of the gold medal winning team in the Western Canadian Championship, where she was named tournament MVP. Her pitching philosophy is not that you should have a lot of different pitches but that you should have two or three that can you hit your spot with consistently and has been running individual and group pitching lessons for the last four years.
